Judaism: "Intentional non-productivity is a productivity tool"

The Brazen Careerist has put up a wonderful post, Intentional non-productivity is a productivity tool  about how taking a serious time-out helps refocus us in our mundane affairs.

As I've written before (and will again), making a serious commitment to shabbat was one of the big changes that I made in moving out here to start the Tiferet Artists Collective. The holidays are proving a greater challenge (Rosh HaShanah was the first time I'd been offline for two days straight since I did a mountain retreat in 2000), but it's working out well.
