What is today

Now that the Chagim are over and i was successfully able to figure out what day today was, I can begin to flll folk in on the recent developments for this project.

Joe posted about a terrific artical which features us. Since being interviewed, Joe and i had many miles of walking to talking and able to solidify our plans.

What it looks like is an artist colony in the more traditional sense: a place where artist live and support eachother. Right now the full time residents are Joe and I, who are working both as solo artist and collaboratively as the Tiferet Artists collective. We are also planning to have several guests this year who will visit and develop work. Shortly we will be developing an application process for artist who would like to apply for residency. If any of our readers are interested in visiting to work on a Jewish art project, shoot us an email with a short bio, resume and proposal for the project and we will look it over. Also, if you would like to come and visit, please do.

The house on Ashurst is wonderful, although its the second floor of a house (so no stomping) and a little drafty. Also, after evaluating the neighborhoods and communites in the area, we are looking to move to different neighborhood. Currently, we are busy drafting an application for a grant that would finiance the rental of a new space.

-We have Three projecte planned for the year: Tiferet Launce, Tiferet Opera and Tiferet One. More details to follow.

Hope all is great. this is going to be a great year.
